The Brand and Communication person is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all aspects of brand strategy, public relations, and communication efforts. This role includes creating and maintaining a strong brand persona, developing a public relations strategy, and ensuring consistent messaging across all external and internal channels. Additionally, the role involves creating and managing the founders' personas to align with the overall brand. A key focus of the position is to enhance brand awareness and ensure high brand recall. The Brand and Communication person will work closely with various departments to ensure brand consistency and promote a positive image of the company.


Key Responsibilities:

Brand Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies to enhance the company’s image and market position. Create a distinct and compelling brand persona that resonates with target audiences.

Brand Persona Creation: Define and articulate the brand’s voice, tone, and personality. Develop guidelines and frameworks for maintaining brand consistency in all communications.

Founders' Persona Creation: Develop and manage the public personas of the company's founders. Ensure the founders' communications and appearances align with the overall brand strategy.

Communication Strategy: Develop and execute a cohesive communication plan that aligns with the company’s brand and business objectives. Manage all internal and external communication channels, including social media, email, press releases, and corporate communications.

Public Relations: Develop and implement a strategic public relations plan to enhance the company’s reputation. Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers. Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other PR materials. Brand Awareness and Recall: Implement strategies and campaigns to increase brand awareness and ensure high brand recall among target audiences. Utilize various marketing channels and tactics to maximize brand exposure and recognition.

Content Creation and Management: Oversee the creation of engaging and relevant content for various platforms. Ensure all content is aligned with the brand’s voice and messaging guidelines. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure brand consistency and alignment with overall business goals. Act as the primary point of contact for external partners, agencies, and media outlets.

Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences. Use insights to refine brand, communication, and PR strategies.

Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of branding, communication, and PR efforts. Prepare regular reports on brand performance, communication activities, PR outcomes, and brand recall metrics.

Crisis Communication: Develop and manage crisis communication plans to protect the brand’s reputation. Act swiftly and effectively to address any issues that may arise.


Required Skill Sets:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in brand management, communication, and public relations roles.
  • Strong understanding of branding principles, communication strategies, and public relations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing and social media platforms. Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with market research and data analysis.
