Location: Kerala (Remote)Employment Type: Full-time – working directly with a UK-based company via Extended TeamsWorking Hours: UK time, Monday to Friday (flexibility required)Minimum Experience: 3 yearsAbout the RoleWe’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a UK-based company through Extended Teams. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving IT infrastructure across multiple global locations (UK, UAE, and Bangladesh). You’ll deliver technical support, implement infrastructure projects, and ensure system reliability across servers, networks, and user environments.This role suits someone who enjoys problem-solving, works independently, and takes ownership from issue to resolution.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Line IT Support to end users and internal systems.Monitor and maintain servers, networks, and system performance.Handle support tickets through the Service Desk and ensure timely resolution.Provide remote and on-site IT support (where required).Create and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for IT processes.Lead incident and problem management, including trend and root cause analysis.Manage and implement IT infrastructure projects and change requests.Support and maintain backup systems, virtualisation, and VOIP telephony.Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related services.Build and maintain strong client and internal stakeholder relationships.Identify skill gaps and training needs within the support team.Skills & Experience RequiredMinimum 3 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure support or similar role.Strong exposure to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Line IT Support.Experience working in a Service Desk environment.Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.In-depth knowledge of:Windows OS (7 onwards) and Windows Server (2012 onwards)Microsoft 365 deployment and managementActive Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, Sites & ServicesNetworking principles, including routers, switches, and Wi-Fi configurationBackup technologies (Veeam, Acronis, etc.)Virtualisation (Hyper-V, VMware, Citrix)VOIP Telephony systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong customer service orientation and teamwork mindset.Proven ability to work independently and handle pressure.Leadership qualities to motivate and guide junior team members.Why Join via Extended TeamsWork remotely for a UK-based company while being legally employed in India.Get access to international projects and advanced infrastructure systems.Enjoy secure employment, local payroll, and HR support managed by ExtendedGT EOR.Be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking global IT team.Grow your skills in a modern, supportive remote-first environment.
