Role: PHP Developer with Moodle Experience

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced PHP developer with a strong specialization in Moodle development.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience working with Moodle and PHP, developing custom plugins, integrating APIs, and optimizing learning management systems (LMS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, customize, and maintain Moodle LMS solutions to meet business and educational requirements.
  • Design, create, and maintain custom plugins and modules for Moodle.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and external services with Moodle.
  • Perform regular system upgrades, performance optimizations, and troubleshooting to ensure a smooth user experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including instructional designers, UI/UX designers, and backend developers.
  • Ensure Moodle follows security, scalability, and performance best practices.
  • Document technical processes, changes, and enhancements for future reference.
  • Stay up-to-date with Moodle updates and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in PHP development.
  • Proven experience working with Moodle LMS (customization, plugin development, and API integration).
  • Strong understanding of Moodle's architecture and database schema.
  • Proficient in web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
  • Experience with SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Knowledge of web security best practices and performance optimization techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Moodle theming and UX/UI customization.
  • Experience in integrating Moodle with third-party applications (e.g., video conferencing tools, CRM systems).
  • Knowledge of server management and hosting Moodle on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Understanding of SCORM, API, and other eLearning standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
