Description : We are looking for a skilled Mainframe Tester with hands-on experience in CICS (Customer Information Control System) to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mainframe environments, batch and online testing, and the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues in COBOL, JCL, DB2 and CICS :- Analyze business requirements, system specifications, and technical documents to create comprehensive test plans and cases.- Perform manual testing of mainframe applications, especially those involving CICS online screens and batch jobs.- Execute test cases for COBOL/CICS programs and validate results against expected outcomes.- Create, manage, and maintain test data in a mainframe environment.- Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, ALM, or equivalent.- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to ensure high-quality releases.- Validate system interfaces and data integrity across DB2 VSAM, and other mainframe databases.- Participate in regression, functional, integration, and UAT testing phases.- Provide regular status updates and contribute to test strategy planning.
