Company Overview

ARCNet is a non-profit applied research initiative housed at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and inspired by the Stanford Research Institute (SRI). Led by Dhruv Gupta, ARCNet operates under ARTPARK in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Government of Karnataka (GoK). Our mission is to tackle real-world challenges through foundational research, innovation, and cross-sector partnerships.

About the Role

We are seeking a Program Manager to oversee and drive strategic initiatives within ARCNet’s research ecosystem. This individual will work closely with faculty, industry partners, and interdisciplinary research teams to ensure programs are aligned with organizational goals, delivered on schedule, and executed within scope and budget. The ideal candidate has experience navigating complex stakeholder landscapes, excels at collaborative problem-solving, and brings a structured, proactive approach to program management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with research leads, faculty, and external partners to define program objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success metrics.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive program documentation, including roadmaps, schedules, and status reports.
  • Manage resource allocation, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies to keep initiatives on track.
  • Facilitate effective communication among diverse teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and timely information flow.
  • Monitor and measure program progress, proposing improvements and adjustments as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in program or project management, preferably in R&D, technology, or academic settings.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex objectives into actionable plans.
  • Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in standard project management tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with research environments, intellectual property considerations, or government/academic partnerships is a plus.
