We are looking for a skilled and innovative Polymer Engineer to design, develop, test, and improve polymer-based materials and products. The ideal candidate will work on selecting appropriate polymer materials, optimizing processing methods, improving material performance, and ensuring compliance with industry and environmental standards.

This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams in R&D, manufacturing, quality, and procurement to ensure the successful application of polymers in various products and processes.

• Research and select suitable polymers and additives for specific product or process requirements (thermoplastics, thermosets, elastomers, composites, bio-based polymers, etc.).
• Develop and improve polymer processing techniques such as extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, and compounding.
• Collaborate with design and product development teams to ensure proper material selection, durability, and manufacturability.
• Conduct material characterization and performance testing (e.g., tensile, impact, thermal, chemical resistance) using techniques like DSC, TGA, FTIR, DMA, and rheology.
• Ensure that polymer materials and finished products comply with relevant industry standards (ASTM, ISO) and regulatory requirements (e.g., REACH, RoHS, FDA).
• Investigate product or material failures, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Contribute to the development of recyclable, biodegradable, or bio-based polymer solutions aligned with environmental goals.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation, test reports, and material specifications.
