Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to lead the civil engineering aspects of the MSKVY Solar Project, co-ordinating with Engineering Consultant / EPC design and review for Mumbai / Pune location. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, procurement support and construction of civil works associated with the solar power plant. They will collaborate closely with internal project teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of this landmark solar project.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Civil engineering design and review process for the MSKVY Solar Project, including site layout, foundation design, structure design, Control room design , road design, drainage systems, and other infrastructure components.
  • Review/Develop detailed engineering designs, specifications, and construction drawings for civil works related to the solar power plant.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to optimize site selection and layout for maximum solar energy production.
  • Collaborate with solar technology experts and electrical engineers to integrate civil designs with solar panel arrays, inverters, and other plant components.
  • Manage the procurement process for civil materials and services, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Review and evaluate contractor bids, proposals, and deliverables related to civil engineering scope.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and assessments to identify and address any design or construction issues.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in civil engineering with a focus on solar power projects and EPC works.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices related to solar power plant design and construction.
  • Experience in designing and reviewing solar power plant layouts, foundations, and superstructure designs.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as STAAD PRO, AutoCAD etc.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with local and international codes, standards, and regulations applicable to solar power projects.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
  • Experience working on large-scale EPC projects, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
