About Position:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer – SQL / SSIS to join the Optum Advisory Team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud-based data engineering, healthcare data modeling, and consulting, with a strong background in Azure, Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL, and SSIS / SSRS. This role requires a self-starter who can work independently with minimal guidance and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact data solutions in the healthcare domain- Role: Data Engineer - Location: All Persistent Locations - Experience: 6+ Years - Job Type: Full Time EmploymentWhat You'll Do:- Contribute to the success of the Healthcare Economics Data Management team - Design, code, test, deploy, maintain, monitor and execute production ETL processes - Investigate production ETL issues / problems - Map database sources to specified data formats - Verify and validate ETL deliverables incoming/outgoing - Provide direction and mentorship to junior colleagues on topics related to Datamart design and ETL deliverables - Lead troubleshooting episodes and communicate solutions/resolutions to the team - Translate concepts to requirements, then design, and develop into an automated production process - Act as a subject matter expert for other team members on assigned processes - Complete projects and development activities timely and accurately while following the - System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - Suggest changes and enhancements for processes. - Document hours of development activities by following SDLC and IS Change Management - Keep skills up to date through ongoing self-directed trainingExpertise You'll Bring:- Proficient with SQL, MS Visual Studio, SSIS, T-SQL, MS SQL Server tools. - Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science - or 5 years of related work experience. - 3 or more years’ experience in Data Warehouse development - 3 or more years’ experience in MSSQL T-SQL/SSIS development - Strong knowledge of T-SQL performance tuning - Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing Star/Snowflake schemas - Data Warehouse – (ETL) Extract, Transform, and Load knowledgeBenefits:- Competitive salary and benefits package - Culture focused on talent development with quarterly growth opportunities and company-sponsored higher education and certifications - Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies - Employee engagement initiatives such as project parties, flexible work hours, and Long Service awards - Annual health check-ups - Insurance coverage: group term life, personal accident, and Mediclaim hospitalization for self, spouse, two children, and parentsValues-Driven, People-Centric & Inclusive Work Environment:Persistent Ltd. is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
