Experience and other qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s or master’s in mechanical / Automobile Engineering with knowledge of automobile parts having total experience of 3 to 6 years in automotive DURABILITY CAE domain
  • Should have minimum 6000 Hours work experience in CAE Pre-Post & solver using ANSA / NASTRAN / ABAQUS / META is must.
  • Experience in complete ICE & Electrical BIW/powertrain / driveline system model build [including hex/tet mesh] including connection’s, mechanisms / assembly, contacts etc. independently.
  • Experience in analysis and post processing of different BIW/powertrain specific load cases like normal mode, Static Linear, non-linear, analysis, Quasi-static etc as per client requirements / methods without any supervision.
  • Able to validate correctness of CAE results and proceed for evaluations, finding Issue, Root cause and propose Design solutions for DURABILITY simulations as per Client requirements.
  • Preferred to have experience in handling BIW / TBIW / Full vehicle DURABILITY CAE models & basic loadcases.
  • Should have good theoretical knowledge of DURABILITY concepts & finite element analysis.
  • Preference for cross domain basic knowledge of Crash and Durability.
  • Preferred to have experience in handling/guiding small team with size 3 or more.
  • Sound knowledge of fundamental physics & engineering principles
  • Strong Analytical, Logical, written, communication & presentation skill


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and validate the DURABILITY CAE system / assembly model for complete BIW powertrain system for ICE & electrical vehicles
  • Debug and Solve CAE calculations of BIW powertrain & with full vehicle automotive system
  • Able to validate correctness of CAE results & Proceed Evaluations [Summarizing CAE results]
  • Finding issue, Rootcause, Mechanism and propose feasible solutions
  • Deliver analysis results to the reporting project Leader/Team leader
  • Following the best practice methods

Support the technical requirements to the satisfaction of the client for DURABILITY Domain

Help in creation of Knowledge Management Documents with support from the technical specialist if required.

Enhance client relationships with technical guidance in the DURABILITY Domain

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Good knowledge of automotive modeling
  • Good Knowledge of Model building using ANSA
  • Knowledge of Nastran / Abaqus solver/PAM Crash à DURABILITY (BIW/Powertrain)
  • Good knowledge of META for post processing & result interpretation
  • Knowledge about typical Finite Elements.
  • Knowledge in FE model Quality criteria
  • Prepare standard reports with CAE solutions / recommendations.


DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Knowledge in Automotive Systems:BIW [ICE/ Electric] / Vehicle Structure
  • Knowledge in building FE without CAD
  • Knowledge in modifying the FE mesh for alternative design
  • Knowledge in updating trim body and debug for DURABILITY
