Job Description:

  • Design and implement data models for a large data warehouse using SCD dimensional modeling techniques.
  • Understand business requirements, clarify ambiguity, and translate business and technical requirements into data models.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and development teams to create conceptual and physical data models, data flows, and document data catalogs, mapping, and transformation.
  • Standardize data architecture and manage metadata.
  • Engage in code and change management review to enforce data standards.
  • Participate in data migration projects.

Software Requirements:

  • Proficiency in data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, etc.) and SQL for database and data warehouse development.
  • Understanding of Oracle and cloud data platforms.

Category wise Technical Skills:

  • Experience in data model design and implementation for a large data warehouse using SCD dimensional modeling.
  • Ability to create conceptual and physical data models, data flows, and document data catalogs, mapping, and transformation.
  • Strong experience in standardizing data architecture and metadata management.
  • Knowledge of Oracle and hands-on experience with cloud data platforms.
  • Familiarity with data migration projects.

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in data model design and implementation for a large data warehouse.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle and cloud data platforms.
  • Experience in data migration projects.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Collaborate with business analysts and development teams to understand and translate business and technical requirements into data models.
  • Create and maintain conceptual and physical data models, data flows, and data catalogs.
  • Standardize data architecture and metadata management.
  • Engage in code and change management review to enforce data standards.
  • Participate in data migration projects.

Qualifications & Soft Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
