Job Summary:
We're looking for an Assistant Manager - Governance & PMO to join our team in either Gurgaon or Bangalore.
In this role, you'll be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust governance frameworks, managing project cadences, and ensuring accurate project tracking across various initiatives.
You'll play a crucial part in standardizing our project management processes, providing a single source of truth for all project-related data, and enabling effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Governance & Process Management: Develop, implement, and maintain project governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- You'll ensure all projects adhere to established frameworks, maintaining consistency and quality.
- Cadence Management: Lead the planning and execution of project meetings, including steering committees and status updates.
- You'll be responsible for creating agendas, capturing key decisions, and tracking action items to completion.
- Project Tracking & Reporting: Oversee the tracking of project progress, milestones, and risks.
- You'll prepare and present comprehensive reports and dashboards to senior management and stakeholders, providing clear visibility into project health and performance.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a central point of contact for project-related information.
- Your strong communication skills will be key in effectively interacting with project managers, team members, and senior leadership.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve project management processes and tools.
- You'll be proactive in recommending and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Any graduate degree, with an MBA being a strong advantage.
- Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in a project management or Project Management Office (PMO) role.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Governance: Deep understanding of project governance frameworks, including roles, responsibilities, and decision-making processes.
- Cadence Management: Proven experience in managing and facilitating project meetings and communication rhythms.
- Project Tracking: Expertise in using project management tools (e.g, Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana) to track progress, dependencies, and risks.
Soft Skills:
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- You must be able to articulate complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of all project data and reports.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address project issues and roadblocks proactively.
Work Location
