About the Role : We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Modeler with deep expertise in Cloud Data Platforms, SQL, Dimensional Modeling, and Performance Tuning to join our growing Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) domain and a proven track record of designing scalable, business-aligned data models that drive actionable insights.You will work closely with cross-functional teamsincluding Sales, Trade, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Financeto translate business requirements into robust data architectures. This role demands both strong technical expertise and the ability to engage with business stakeholders to ensure data solutions are accurate, scalable, and aligned with strategic objectives.Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain dimensional, relational, and semantic data models that support analytical and operational use cases.- Ensure models are scalable, flexible, and optimized for performance across various workloads.- Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes, KPIs, and reporting needs, translating them into effective data models.- Work closely with Data Engineers, Architects, and Analysts to ensure seamless data flow and model implementation.- Conduct SQL performance tuning and query optimization for large-scale datasets. Recommend and implement strategies to enhance data retrieval speed and efficiency.- Design and implement models on leading platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.- Leverage data modeling tools to build, visualize, and manage metadata-driven architectures.- Ensure models comply with data governance, security, and quality standards.- Maintain proper documentation, lineage, and metadata for all models.- Apply CPG domain knowledge to model data relevant to sales forecasting, trade promotion, supply chain visibility, marketing analytics, and financial reporting.- Build reusable and domain-specific data structures that reflect real-world business processes.Required Skills & Competencies : - Strong expertise in SQL & Performance Tuning for analytical queries.- Proven experience with Cloud Data Platforms (Databricks, Snowflake).- Hands-on knowledge of Data Modeling Tools (Erwin, Power Designer, or similar).- Solid understanding of Dimensional Modeling concepts (Star/Snowflake schemas, slowly changing dimensions, fact/dimension tables).- Experience working with large datasets in a distributed/cloud environment.- Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical discussions.- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and manage multiple priorities (ref:hirist.tech)
