Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Automation Tester with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in designing and executing automated test scripts. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through modern automated testing frameworks, including Selenium and Playwright, and continuous integration pipelines.Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript), TestNG, or JUnit. - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and manual QA testers to understand product requirements and develop robust automation strategies. - Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks, including Playwright implementations using JavaScript or TypeScript. - Perform regression testing and validate new features in active development sprints. - Identify, document, and track bugs using issue-tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla. - Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. - Continuously assess testing processes and suggest improvements for better test coverage and efficiency.Required Skills:- Minimum 1 year of experience in automation testing with tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, TestNG, or Cucumber. - Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Java, Python, or JavaScript (with emphasis on JavaScript for Playwright). - Experience with version control systems like Git. - Practical knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI. - Solid understanding of RESTful API testing using tools like Postman or REST-assured. - Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Preferred Skills:- Experience working with BDD frameworks like Cucumber. - Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. - Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter. - ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.About Edstruments:Edstruments is a modern fintech platform designed to replace complicated spreadsheets with visually intuitive and real-time cloud software.
