About the Role :

We are seeking a highly motivated Python Test Automation Engineer to join our development team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the exceptional quality of our web protection products through a comprehensive testing strategy.

You will leverage your expertise in Python, Selenium, and other technologies to design, develop, and execute automated tests, contributing significantly to a streamlined and efficient development process.

Responsibilities :

Test Automation and Strategy :

- Collaborate with the development team to create effective test automation strategies.

- Implement automated tests covering various aspects of our web protection product suite, including functionality, scalability, performance, and security.

- Utilize Python and other programming languages to write robust and maintainable test cases.

Technical Skills and Tools :

- Utilize Selenium WebDriver (Python) to automate tests for web applications and RESTful API services.

- Leverage your knowledge of AWS, Git, and virtualization technologies to support the testing process.

Test Execution and Analysis :

- Execute test automation scripts as part of the Scrum development cycle.

- Analyze test results and code coverage to identify areas for improvement and ensure comprehensive testing.

- Develop and maintain dashboards to visualize testing metrics and provide valuable insights to the team.

Regression Testing :

- Develop and maintain automated regression tests to prevent regressions and ensure product stability.

- Proactively identify and report potential issues to the development team.

Collaboration and Communication :

- Work effectively within a cross-functional Agile team, collaborating with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

- Clearly communicate test findings and recommendations to facilitate effective problem-solving.

About You :

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in automation or regression testing, preferably in a cloud-hosted microservices environment.

- Proven experience in a Software Test Automation role.

- Strong proficiency in Python programming and Selenium WebDriver.

- Ability to create robust automation frameworks using Python.

- Experience with testing web applications and RESTful APIs using code-based testing approaches.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and a collaborative work style.

- Experience with AWS, Git, and virtualization technologies is a plus.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams.

Desired Skills and Experience :

- Experience with other testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, unittest) and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines) is a plus.

- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured) is a plus.
