Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior SDS2 Checker for a Full-Time position at our Coimbatore location. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in structural steel detailing and checking, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. As a Junior Checker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high-quality standards in our projects.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in steel detailing, especially using SDS2 software (Mandatory skill).
• Strong skills in checking detailed drawings and ensuring they meet project specifications (Mandatory skill).
• Expertise in 3D modeling techniques for structural designs is essential to visualize and create accurate models.
• Competence in preparing and interpreting shop drawings to ensure fabrication accuracy and consistency.
• Familiarity with AISC standards to ensure compliance with industry guidelines and best practices.
• Solid understanding of steel structures, their components, and connection details for effective analysis.
• Experience as a detailer to effectively communicate and resolve design detail discrepancies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve potential issues in detailed designs.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Review and check detailed drawings and models to ensure they meet project specifications and standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues in the detailed designs.
• Ensure compliance with AISC and other relevant international standards in all project deliverables.
• Identify potential design issues and work with detailers and modelers to resolve them efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project deadlines are met with high-quality output.
• Maintain accurate records of all checks and revisions made to project drawings and models.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team productivity and quality of work.
• Contribute to a culture of quality and precision within the organization, upholding company values and goals.
