Sr. Cloud Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud technologies, architecture, and best practices. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable cloud solutions.
  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure using platforms such as [mention specific cloud platforms, e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud].
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) principles to automate provisioning, configuration, and scaling of resources.
  • Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery strategies are in place for critical systems.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency.
  • Implement security best practices including identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment processes, and streamline application workflows.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 8 to 10 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS with creating end to end pipelines
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
  • In-depth understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles in a cloud environment.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) including cluster building and security.
  • Ability to script in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell with Linux.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools for proactive system analysis (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK stack).
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with serverless computing and microservices architectures.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Knowledge of database management systems (SQL, PostgreSQL) in cloud environments.
  • Previous experience in migrating on-premises applications to the cloud.
