Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Procurement:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Identify and qualify suppliers across different industries, ensuring the best value, quality, and reliability.

Supplier Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure advantageous terms for the company.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Procurement Process Management:

  • Oversee the entire procurement process, from requisition to payment, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement procurement policies, procedures, and controls to streamline operations and minimize risks.
  • Manage the procurement team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.

Cost Control and Optimization:

  • Continuously seek opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and procurement best practices across different domains.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including any specific to government contracts.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.

Government Projects (Good to Have):

  • If involved in government projects, ensure compliance with government procurement regulations and procedures.
  • Navigate the complexities of public procurement processes, including tenders and bidding.
  • Leverage experience in government projects to secure and manage public contracts effectively.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present regular procurement reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, savings, and risks.
  • Conduct spend analysis and recommend improvements based on data-driven insights.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in procurement, with exposure to various industries.
  • Proven track record in negotiating and managing supplier contracts.
  • Experience with government projects is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of procurement principles, practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
