Job Summery:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Application Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in microcontroller and microprocessor hardware/board design and customer support. The primary responsibility will be providing first-line customer support for hardware design inquiries related to our SoC, MCU, and MPU hardware platforms. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our hardware design and software teams to ensure successful product implementation and high customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to customers by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to hardware/board design, SoC, MCU, and MPU features, as well as software integration and functionality.
  • Assist customers with the design, development, and testing of electronic circuit boards.
  • Offer support in schematic capture, PCB layout, and assembly processes.
  • Collaborate with the software development team to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software components.
  • Assist in debugging software issues related to board design and hardware performance.
  • Work with customer service teams to understand customer needs and ensure successful product implementation.
  • Assist in preparing technical documentation, user manuals, and FAQs to support customer understanding and product use.


Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Experience in designing embedded systems using microcontrollers and microprocessors or in developing IoT hardware/boards.
  • Understanding of microcontroller and microprocessor circuit design principles.
  • Basic knowledge of hardware interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, NAND flash, DDR3/4, MIPI-DSI, MIPI-CSI, I2S, power schemes, etc.
  • Ability to collaborate with the engineering team to select components and ensure designs meet performance, cost, and reliability targets.
  • Familiarity with hardware debugging/Lab tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters).
  • Hands-on experience with schematic capture and symbol creation using tools like OrCAD, Altium, Pads, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with PCB design/viewer tools (e.g., OrCAD, Altium, Allegro, Pads, etc.).


Good to Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with operating systems like Linux or RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems).
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with Jira software tools.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in board design, customer support, and software knowledge.


Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
