About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled Linux Administrator to join our team and take ownership of our Linux infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Linux administration principles and experience with various tools and technologies.

Responsibilities :

- Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux servers.

- Perform routine system administration tasks such as user and group management, disk space management, and package installation.

- Troubleshoot and resolve Linux system issues efficiently.

- Implement and maintain system security measures.

- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages like Python or automation tools like Ansible (desirable).

- Monitor system performance and identify potential bottlenecks.

- Perform system backups and disaster recovery procedures.

- Stay up-to-date on the latest Linux technologies and security best practices.

- Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure smooth system operation.

- Utilize ticketing systems like JIRA and ServiceNow for issue tracking and resolution.

Qualifications :

- 4-6 years of experience in Linux system administration

- In-depth knowledge of Linux distributions (e.g, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu)

- Proficiency with command-line tools and scripting languages (bash scripting preferred)

- Strong understanding of Linux system security concepts

- Experience with user and group management tools

- Experience with package management systems (e.g, yum, apt)

- Familiarity with basic SAN/NAS concepts (a plus)

- Working knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP, SNMP, LDAP) (desirable)

- Experience with JIRA and ServiceNow ticketing systems

Bonus Skills :

- Experience with cloud-based Linux deployments (AWS, Azure)

- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM)

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
