We’re currently looking for: Senior UI Developer Responsibilities Feature Ownership: Managing UI features from start to finish, including working with designers (e.g., Figma) and stakeholders, implementation, testing, and deployment. Build & Maintain UI: Developing responsive, reusable UI components and building modern web applications. Code Quality & Mentoring: Writing clean, maintainable code, performing code reviews for peers, and mentoring junior developers to drive technical excellence. API Integration: Connecting the UI with backend services via RESTful APIs (and potentially GraphQL/WebSockets) to ensure smooth data flow. Performance Tuning: Optimizing the UI for speed, scalability, and fixing performance issues using browser development tools. Collaboration: Effectively communicating and collaborating on design and technology with product, UX, and backend engineering teams. Effectively communicate and articulate the design and technology to the management and engineering teams. Qualifications: Proven Experience: 10+ years of experience in front-end/UI development is required. Core Languages: Expert, hands-on knowledge and very good grasp of HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript. JavaScript Ecosystem: Must have deep familiarity with JavaScript libraries and front-end tooling (e.g., Webpack, Rollup, Babel, ESLint). Design & Styling: Proficiency in SCSS (or other preprocessors) for maintainable styling, and an understanding of responsive web design and current UI/UX principles. API Communication: Experience integrating with RESTful APIs. DevOps & Tools: Experience with version control systems like Git. Nice to have: JavaScript Frameworks (Hands-On): Familiarity and hands-on working experience with major JavaScript frameworks/libraries like React (including its ecosystem like Redux, Hooks, or MobX), and/or Angular. Backend Knowledge: Previous working experience with or a strong understanding of server-side languages like Ruby, Rails, and Java (particularly due to RingCentral's use of Java in its backend stack). Advanced UI: Experience with TypeScript for building scalable architecture, and state management libraries (Redux, MobX, Zustand, Immer). Enterprise Experience: Experience with SaaS, distributed, highly available, and event-driven systems.
