Job Description:At STGi, we are building products for Financial Institutions - specifically for the US market. We are seeking a talented and experienced
UI Tech Lead
to join our team. This role involves leading the UI development efforts for our banking domain products, ensuring best practices, and driving innovation in user experience. As a UI Tech Lead, you will be responsible for guiding a team of developers, collaborating with designers and back-end engineers, and delivering high-quality UI solutions.
Responsibilities:Lead the development and maintenance of user interfaces for web applications using Vue.js or React.js.Architect scalable and maintainable front-end solutions while ensuring performance optimization.Collaborate with UX/UI designers and back-end developers to create seamless and intuitive user experiences.Ensure best practices in front-end development, including coding standards, performance optimization, and accessibility.Conduct code reviews, provide technical mentorship, and foster the growth of junior developers.Troubleshoot and resolve complex UI/UX issues while ensuring cross-browser compatibility.Stay updated on emerging trends in front-end development and introduce innovative solutions.Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to define technical requirements and provide feasibility analysis.Improve development processes by implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.Shepherd production issues to swift resolution and perform Root Cause Analysis when necessary, collaborating with the Support team.Establish and maintain strong relationships across teams and with colleagues and clients.Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance, collaboration, and high morale.
Requirements:Strong proficiency in Vue.js or React.js with hands-on experience in front-end development.Expertise in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).Deep understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs and back-end services.Solid understanding of state management libraries like Vuex, Redux, or Context API.Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.Experience with version control systems such as Git and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, Agile environment.Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
Preferred Qualifications (not required but considered a plus):Experience with backend technologies such as Python/Django, Node.js, Next.js, or Loopback.Knowledge of modern front-end build tools and workflows (Webpack, Babel, etc.).Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.Understanding of UI/UX design principles and accessibility standards.
