Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drone Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Drone Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functionality, safety, and maintenance of our fleet of drones and customers drones. Your expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating various drone models will be instrumental in keeping our aerial operations running smoothly. Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of drones to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with drones and their components, including motors, sensors, GPS systems, and communication modules.
  
• Perform repairs and replacements of damaged or malfunctioning drone parts in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  
• Calibrate and fine-tune drone systems to maintain precision and accuracy during flight operations.
  
• Test the Drones in multiple aspects to ensure that the repairs have be completed.
  
• QA/QC of the repairs / maintenance/ testing performed
  
• Collaborate with drone operators and other team members to understand and address specific operational requirements.
  
• Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for documentation and regulatory compliance.
  
• Keep abreast of the latest developments and trends in drone technology, regulations, and best practices.
  
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce the risk of unexpected equipment failures.
  
• Monitor battery life and charging cycles, ensuring drones are powered up and ready for operation.
  
• Follow established safety protocols and guidelines while handling and maintaining drones.
  
• In addition to the above, the employee shall be responsible for visiting on testing sites or client sites for drone flying, drone testing, repairs, maintenance
  
• Research and implement new techniques throughout PIS for providing better services to clients.
  
• Any/all other services if required by the company

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electronics, robotics, aviation, or a related field is preferred.
  
• Proven experience as a Drone Repair Technician or similar role, with a track record of maintaining and repairing various electronic components.
  
• Solid understanding of drone technology, including motors, batteries, flight controllers, GPS systems, and communication modules.
  
• Familiarity with different drone manufacturers and their respective maintenance procedures.
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams related to drone maintenance and repair.
  
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment for drone maintenance, calibration, and testing.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to drone operation and maintenance.
  
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with drone operators and other team members.
  
• Physical capability to lift and carry heavy drone equipment and perform tasks in outdoor environments.
  
• R&D Experience to implement new workflows
  

Preferred Qualifications (if any, not mandatory):

• Prior experience with drone flying, calibrations and firmware updates.
  
• Knowledge of computer programming or coding languages for drone customization and modification.
  
• Experience in maintaining other types of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or remotely operated systems
  
• Remote Pilot Certificate issued by DGCA
  
• Education in Mechanical Engineering/ Aeronautical Engineering/ Mechatronic/ Electronics Engineering

Requirements
Only candidates from Mumbai Qualifications: Education: Diploma, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, Geoinformatics, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or a related field with a focus on GIS. Experience: 0 - 1 year of professional experience as a GIS Trainee or in a similar role. Proven knowledge in geospatial data collection, database management, and spatial analysis. Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding of GIS concepts, including spatial analysis, data visualisation, and geodatabase management. Excellent analytical skills to interpret geospatial data and provide actionable insights. Proficiency in documenting workflows and technical procedures. Effective communication skills for presenting geospatial findings and collaborating with team members. Enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and continuously improving skills. Software Expertise: Candidates must have knowledge of the following tools and software: GIS Software: ArcGIS (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro) QGIS Database Management: PostgreSQL/PostGIS MySQL or SQL Server Remote Sensing Tools (Optional): ENVI or ERDAS Imagine Programming Skills (Preferred): Python (with GIS libraries such as GeoPandas, PySAL, or GDAL) R (for geospatial analysis) Other Tools: Google Earth Pro AutoCAD (for CAD-GIS integration) Global Mapper Photogrammetry - Basic knowledge of drone mapping or photogrammetry workflows Awareness of GPS/GNSS surveying tools and field data collection.
