We are seeking a skilled Turner to operate and maintain lathe machines for precision machining of metal components. The ideal candidate should have experience in reading technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools, and ensuring high-quality production standards. This role demands attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

• Operate and set up lathe machines to perform turning operations on various metal components.
  

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine machining specifications.
  

• Select, align, and secure cutting tools, attachments, and materials on the machine.
  

• Measure, examine, and test completed components to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  

• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
  

• Adhere to workplace safety regulations and ensure proper handling of tools and materials.
  

• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production targets within deadlines.
  

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area.
  

• ITI / Diploma in Turner, Machinist, or related trade.
  

• 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience operating lathe machines.
  

• Strong knowledge of machining processes, cutting speeds, and feeds.
  

• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  

• Proficiency in operating manual lathe machines (CNC knowledge will be an added advantage).
  

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
  

• Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving skills.
  

• Physical stamina and ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
  

• Good teamwork and communication skills.
