KeyMajor FunctionFinastra is currently seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to join the Network Engineeringorganization. This positionis responsible fornetwork security solutioning and incident response for the Finastra enterprise. The chosenengineerwill partner with internal teams,managementand vendors to design, deliver,maintain, and enhance Finastra's network security capabilities.The ideal candidate should be forward-thinking, dedicated and detail-oriented witha strong desireto work within adynamic andcollaborative environment.KeyResponsibilitiesDailyresponsibilitiesas Network Security Engineerincluderequirements gathering,technical discovery,designcreationand implementation duties.Proof of concept and pilot NextGen network security capabilities that include cloud nativetechnologiesWork directly with InfoSec and Network Engineeringpeersto develop and enhance networksecuritycapabilitiesthat improve Finastra's security posture.Proven ability toleverageMicrosoft Visio to create diagrams that depict network security solutions and/or designs.Create and publish runbooks for routine maintenance activities.Maintain technical configuration documents andstandard operating proceduresrelated to network security services.Proven ability to createdesign concepts andfacilitateconceptual conversations with technical peers and leadership.Partner withOriginal Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and technology vendors tocompile bill of materialsthatrepresentnetwork security solutions.Adhere to IT Service Management policy and procedures for return to service tasks, problem management, and change control activities.Support 24x7x365 network security incident and response needs.Occasional non-business hours supportrequiredasdriven by businessneeds andproject demand.Rolerequiresup to 10% business travel.Required Skills:Functionalknowledge of networking and data communication fundamentals includingconnectivity methods, security functions,and routing/switchingprotocolsFunctionalknowledge of internetworking standardsFunctionalknowledge of networksecuritymanagement toolsAdvanced knowledge of OSI modelMinimum of 3yearsnetwork securitydesign and implementationexperience3+years of design and implementationexperiencewith the following OEMs: Microsoft Azure(or AWS),Fortinet, F5,andCisco.Working experience with the followingsecuritycapabilities:applicationfirewallinspection,intrusion detection/prevention, dynamic web filtering, internet proxy,firewallmanagementand audit toolsDesign and implementation experience using web application protection capabilities -distributed denial of serviceandweb applicationfirewall.Proficient with advanced load-balancercapabilitiesFoundational knowledge of encryption standardsand protocols.Micro segmentationknowledge and deploymentexperience desiredCompetencies Problem solving/troubleshooting abilitiesExcellent interpersonal skills - oral and writtenCustomer focusedBasic financial and accounting knowledge - amortization, depreciation, CAPEX/OPEXAbility to work well in a project team environmentKnowledge of Microsoft Office products- Word, Excel, and PowerPointDetail and results orientedTimings:5.30 PM (IST)We are proud to offer a range of incentives to our employees worldwide.
