Associate Product Manager

Role Summary:

As an Associate Product Manager, your role will primarily entail interacting and understanding customer experiences, their needs, understanding gaps in product offerings and thereby creating exceptionally great products for our users. To be successful in your role, you will need to collaborate with diverse teams spanning engineering, growth, requiring both a strong technical background and excellent interpersonal skills. Knowing a lot about data, numbers, and analysing them for actionable insights is a must for this role.

We are looking for someone who has an eye for detail, an interest in user experience, goes in-depth from inception to execution, is data-driven, and possesses the grit needed to bring people together to get stuff done. In this role, one should thrive in a focused, collaborative, process-driven environment and be able to easily adapt and adjust to change without sacrificing the product vision. You will be required to have the ability to clearly articulate the rationale behind decisions. As a product manager you will communicate and coordinate across multiple teams hence you must also have exceptional product and project management skills. Moreover, as a product evangelist, you need to build awareness, understand and represent the product / brand with complete end to end ownership.

This is a 100% hands-on and execution focused role, you will work very closely with the leadership & founders of Raise, and even more closely with our customers. This role gives you freedom and ownership with the goal to keep our customers satisfied If you are someone who is passionate about Financial Services and Fintech products in India wherein you feel the customers should get the best possible experience, then you are looking at the place where you should apply.

Expected Responsibilities:

• As an Associate Product Manager, you will determine the customer needs and also recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines for your vertical.
• Work on product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes. Bring to market new products by analysing proposed product requirements and drive product development programs.
• Ensuring upgrades in the product wherever required post launch from time to time basis and to ensure we are able to gain traction on it.
• Responsible for closely tracking product metrics and sharing new insights wherever applicable to make product updates.
• Talk to Customers (existing and prospective) to gain deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.
• Create a detailed product strategy and translate it into detailed requirements and prototypes, managing product roadmaps and releases from time to time.
• Drive product launches including working with the internal product team, engineering, growth, design, business and respective stakeholders.
• Ensure end to end product ownership, not just consumer facing but every aspect of it including operation management, data and seamless daily execution of the entire product.
• Timely evaluate marketing and promotion plans to ensure that they are in line with product strategy and ensure the message is effectively conveyed.
• Closely work with engineering team to deliver quick time-to-market and optimal resources.

Expected Skills:

We are a start-up and we are focusing on fast growth with quality products hence the ability to work in a fast-paced environment goes without saying. Other than that:

• MBA along with a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, finance or related field from premier institute, and with a keen eye on the FinTech industry and emerging trends
• 2-3 years of relevant product management experience in a consumer facing internet enabled product/service roles
• Experience in defining, driving and shipping mass market internet enabled consumer products or services
• Past and latest experience with a financial services company, particularly in the Investing / Wealth domain will be awesome. Banking, financial service, or payment services are super
• Passion for understanding customers and their behavior, particularly with regard to the FinTech space
• Experience working with designers, engineers, data and business analysts, business leaders to generate buy in for the product direction you are setting.
• Excellent cross-functional project management skills
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
• We do not mind if you're not an MBA from a premier institute, or even if you are not an MBA - but being a great product manager with the above mentioned personality traits is a must.
• Demonstrated a lot of ownership and proven track record of delivering results, with strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Location: Mumbai (Borivali East)

Candidates from Mumbai (Western Suburbs) would be preferred.
