The Project Manager I, is a project management position focusing on the successful onboarding and transition of low to moderate risk ETS projects to Global Capability Center (GCC). Works autonomously while partnering with Project Sponsors and Owners on the planning and execution of projects. The Project Manager I (PM I) is expected to manage 2 or more projects (depending on the scope and risk of the efforts) by leveraging PMI project management best practices, through leadership of their Project Teams and by managing direct and indirect project stakeholders. The PM I has a very good understanding over the best practices (science of project management) and in relationship building (art of project management) in support of effective delivery of their project assignments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the “end-to-end” planning and execution of project plans in a manner consistent with the PMI project management best practices, and the use of project management supporting tools.
  • Effectively maintain, track and measure key project management success metrics related to scope, resources, schedule, budget, issues, risks, change control, and business outcomes. Act as the Point-of-Contact (POC) for the project performance, providing updates and escalations to the Sponsor, Project Owner, Project Team and Stakeholders, Portfolio Managers, and members of ETS Leadership.
  • Demonstrate expertise in building and managing project schedules, understanding dependencies, constraints and roadblocks/barriers, identifying potential risks and mitigation plans.
  • Ability to “right size” project management needs with input from other Portfolio/Project Managers and their Director or Manager on assigned projects.
  • Understand the project financial reporting, explain variances, and propose recommendations for improvement.
  • Preparation and participation in partnership with the Project Owner for project performance reviews including, updating project-related information, development of executive readout materials and responsibility for communicating project status.
  • Manage comprehensive written and verbal portfolio communications including the creation and dissemination of status reports and ad hoc communications as defined by portfolio team and the communications plan agreed upon with the Project Sponsor and Owner.
  • Ability to be deployed as an “end-to-end” Project Manager on most low to moderate level risk ETS projects spanning over a variety of discipline areas and collaborate on sub-projects belonging to larger initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities, drive efficiencies and increase productivity across projects.


Required Experience:

  • Expertise in the MS Office Product Suite

  • Strong knowledge of project management scheduling processes and tools (WBS, Gantt)

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • PMP Certification – preferred
  • 2+ years of experience directly managing moderately complex projects and evaluating project performance data
