Description : Were looking for a proactive engineer whos strong with Elixir, Phoenix, Absinthe (GraphQL), and PostgreSQL on RDS to build reliable backend systems that power patient scheduling, real-time operational updates, and caregiver automation tools. On the frontend, youll work with TypeScript, React, and Remix to deliver clean, accessible interfaces used by patients, care coordinators, and support teams. Youll manage cloud deployments on AWS using Terraform, set up CI/CD via GitHub Actions, and ensure observability with also work closely with our data stackMotherDuck for storage, Hashboard for dashboards, and dbt for modellingto help drive decisions across the organization. This role is for someone comfortable in a small, fast-paced team where we often wear multiple hats and build systems that directly improve how patients and caregivers connect and communicate.Backend : Elixir, Phoenix, Absinthe (GraphQL), PostgreSQL (RDS)Frontend : TypeScript, React, Remix Infrastructure : AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions, OpenTelemetryData & Analytics : MotherDuck, Hashboard, dbtAbout this role Senior or Software Engineer : This role requires a proactive, results-oriented engineer who can take charge and deliver in a fast-paced environment, who has excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additionally, you should be comfortable being a key player in a small team where we often wear multiple hats.The software you design, and build will be used to address a large variety of use cases, such as : - Empowering patients with varied skills and disabilities to manage their care services schedules- Providing real-time updates to our call center staff so that they can better serve our patient population- Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of our team of care providers through the use of automation, algorithms, statistical models, and machine learning- Integrating external data systems to facilitate data-driven decision-making for our team and our customers- Improve the quality of the services we provide to patients by creating voice and text communications systems to connect patients with caregivers (ref:hirist.tech)
