Job Title: Senior Automation Trainer – Pharmaceutical Industry Location:Remote Job Type:Part-timeJob Summary: We are seeking a highly skilledAutomation Trainerwith over10 years of experiencein thepharmaceutical manufacturing and process automation sector . The trainer will be responsible fordesigning, developing, and delivering training programsfocused onindustrial automation systems ,GMP-compliant operations ,PLC/SCADA/DCS systems , andvalidation processesused in pharmaceutical production and packaging. The ideal candidate should combinehands-on technical expertisewith stronginstructional and communication skillsto upskill engineers, technicians, and operators in automation technologies aligned withregulatory and quality standards .Key Responsibilities: Develop and delivertechnical training programson automation systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, HMI, MES, BMS, EMS, etc.) used in pharma manufacturing. Train participants onGMP-compliant automation practices ,data integrity , and21 CFR Part 11compliance. Conduct hands-on training sessions onsystem design, configuration, troubleshooting, and validation . Preparetraining manuals, e-learning modules, case studies , andassessment tools . Evaluate trainee performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement. Collaborate withengineering, maintenance, and quality assuranceteams to ensure training aligns with operational and compliance needs. Stay updated with the latestautomation technologies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements(GAMP5, FDA, MHRA, WHO). Support in designingskill certification programsand competency matrices for automation engineers. Conduct refresher programs and workshops onnew automation trends(IoT, Industry 4.0, digital twins, etc.) in pharma. Ensure training delivery adheres tosafety ,quality , anddata securityprotocols.Required Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding ofpharma automation systemssuch asSiemens, Rockwell, Schneider, DeltaV, or ABB . Experience inprocess automation ,machine automation ,packaging line automation , andclean utility monitoring systems . Knowledge ofCSV (Computer System Validation)andGAMP5guidelines. Familiarity withpharma production processes(formulation, filling, sterilization, packaging, etc.). Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills. Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse learners. Proficiency in developingtraining content and evaluation metrics .Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inInstrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or related Engineeringdiscipline. Minimum10 years of hands-on experienceinautomation systems within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry . Prior experience as a trainer, mentor, or technical leadpreferred. Certifications inPLC/SCADA/DCS systems ,GAMP5 , orpharma automation technologiesare advantageous.Preferred Expertise: Experience withManufacturing Execution Systems (MES) ,Batch Control Systems , orAutomation Cybersecurity . Exposure toIndustry 4.0 ,IoT integration , anddata analyticsin pharma automation. Experience indeveloping e-learning or simulation-based trainingtools.
