New Contract Opportunity – Desktop Support Engineer Contract:1 year (Extendable) Location:Pune Start:ImmediateKey Responsibilities: ExecuteIMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change)activities for desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and other end-user computing devices. Performhardware and software installations, upgrades, and configurationsin accordance with IT policies. Manageasset tagging, inventory updates, and documentation after each IMAC activity. Supportnew device rollouts, refresh projects, and user relocations. Ensuredata backup, migration, and recoveryduring system moves or replacements. Troubleshoothardware and OS-level issuesduring deployment and escalate complex problems as needed. Coordinate withService Desk, Network, and Infrastructure teamsfor dependencies and smooth execution. MaintainSLA compliancefor all IMAC requests and ensure proper closure in ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy). Supportuser onboarding and offboardingprocesses from a device perspective. Prepare and maintainstandard operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, and technical documentation. Required Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding ofEUC technologies– Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, SCCM/Intune. Experience withhardware setup, reimaging, and device provisioning. Familiarity withticketing systems(e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy, BMC Helix). Good knowledge ofnetwork connectivity basics(LAN/Wi-Fi, IP, DNS, DHCP troubleshooting). Hands-on experience withremote support tools(e.g., RDP, TeamViewer, AnyDesk). Strongdocumentation and reportingskills. Excellentcommunication and customer serviceorientation. Ability to work independently or as part of a distributed support team. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications:CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate. Experience inlarge-scale enterprise IMAC deployments. Knowledge ofasset management and lifecycle tracking tools. Exposure toendpoint security tools(e.g., BitLocker, antivirus solutions). Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
