As we prepare to establish our brand, we are seeking an experienced and creative Executive Chef to lead the culinary team, oversee kitchen operations, and craft a menu that resonates with our brand’s unique identity.


Key Responsibilities (KRAs):

  • Menu Development & Innovation:
  • Design and develop a seasonal, creative menu aligned with the brand’s vision.
  • Incorporate local, sustainable ingredients, balancing innovation with customer preferences.
  • Experiment with new cooking techniques and trends to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
  • Team Leadership & Training:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and kitchen assistants.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement in the kitchen.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to optimize team output.
  • Quality Control & Food Presentation:
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared with consistency, maintaining high standards of taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Oversee portion control, minimizing food waste while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain quality and freshness by managing inventory and sourcing top-grade ingredients.
  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the bar and restaurant management team to align kitchen operations with business goals.
  • Develop and manage the kitchen’s budget, including food costs, labor costs, and expenses.
  • Supplier & Vendor Management:
  • Build and maintain relationships with local suppliers and vendors to ensure the best quality and pricing for ingredients.
  • Negotiate contracts and source ingredients, ensuring a balance between quality and cost-efficiency.
  • Health & Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure the kitchen complies with all health and safety regulations, including hygiene, sanitation, and food handling protocols.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for food storage, preparation, and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Customer Engagement:
  • Be the face of the culinary experience by interacting with guests, handling special requests, and gathering feedback to improve the menu.
  • Lead culinary events such as chef’s tables, cooking classes, and other promotional activities.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef, or a similar role in high-end restaurants or bars.
  • Deep understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading a team of diverse kitchen staff.
  • Creativity in menu development, with a focus on both traditional and modern cooking techniques.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain food cost control and budget management.
  • Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety standards.
  • Culinary degree or certification is preferred.
