About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist - Snowflake + Azure Data Factory (ADF) to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data warehouse solutions using Snowflake and ADF. This role will play a critical part in our cloud data transformation and migration journey.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop robust data pipelines to ingest data from diverse sources (databases, cloud storage, streaming platforms) into Snowflake.

- Implement complex data transformations and quality checks using Azure Data Factory (ADF).

- Migrate SSIS packages and workflows to ADF as part of the modernization process.

- Leverage deep knowledge of Snowflake architecture to implement scalable, cost-effective data warehouse solutions.

- Optimize and maintain Snowflake query performance and storage utilization.

- Apply EDW concepts, CDC (Change Data Capture) mechanisms, and dimensional data modeling to develop structured and insightful data marts.

- Integrate Snowflake with external data sources, APIs, and third-party tools.

- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and best practice sharing.

- Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including :

1. Data ingestion techniques (COPY, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables).

2. Query performance optimization and cost tuning.

- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) : pipeline orchestration, data flows, and monitoring.

- Familiarity with SSIS to ADF migration strategies.

- Proficient in SQL and Python or similar scripting languages for ETL/ELT processes.

- Experience building CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake using Azure DevOps.

- Good understanding of data security best practices and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

- Demonstrated experience in cloud data migrations and hybrid data environments.

- SnowPro Core Certification is mandatory.
