Role Objectives:

We are looking for someone to oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of our company's data platform. This role involves managing a team of data engineers, ensuring the accuracy and security of data, and collaborating with other departments to meet their data needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data management principles, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to develop strategies based on data analysis


Key Responsibilities:


Financial Outcomes

Business Context Understanding: Develop a deep understanding of the industry, business processes, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide relevant insights.

Data Collection, cleaning, analysis & reporting: work closely with a team of data engineers and developers for enterprise data platform, reporting and generating analysis and insights.


Customer Service

Collaboration & Project management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data engineers, and data scientists, to ensure data-driven decision-making across the organization.


Internal Processes

Enable processes and framework to make seamless tracking and monitoring of all issues and CR's in data lake through ITSM tools

Improve overall Data Maturity in Data Platform by incorporating DQ frameworks and automated processes.

 Process Documentation: documenting current data processes and identifying areas for improvement


Innovation and Learning

 Skill up on modern technology areas like Generative AI and ML foundations.


What are the Critical success factors for the Role?


 B.Tech or Bachelor degree in mathematics, statistics or computer science or related field from Tier 1/2 institute

MBA preferred – Tier 1/2 institutes

7-10 years of relevant Data Analyst experience with 3-4 years of managerial experience including project management

 Experience in FMCG Industry preferred

Technical skills: Strong data analysis skills & familiarity with BI / BW, SAP Analytics Cloud, project management methodologies, such as Agile. Strong working knowledge of SQL, R/Python & Visualization tools (PowerBI / Thoughtspot / Tableau)

Analytical skills: Strong analytical skills to identify business needs, evaluate solutions, and make recommendations.

Business acumen: Need to have a good understanding of business processes and an ability to think creatively to find solutions that meet business needs.


Desired Candidate Profile/ Experience:

 Experience in Cloud engineering & exposure to cloud environments will be preferred, although not mandatory

Communication skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders, project team members, and technical personnel to gather requirements, explain complex information, and resolve conflicts.

Problem-solving skills: Must be able to identify and solve complex business problems, and make recommendations based on their analysis.
