Student Data Management:Maintain and update the student database related to residence information, including room assignments, incident reports, and other relevant recordsEnsure data accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with university policiesBe aware of student movement in and out of the residence halls4. Policy Development and Implementation:Work with the Dean and Office of Student Life to develop and uphold policies and procedures related to residence lifeEnsure compliance with UGC Anti-Ragging regulations and promote a safe environment on campusPrepare and maintain incident reports in case of policy violations and escalate these as per the regulations of the University, state, local, and national laws5. Emergency Response and Medical Support :Handle any emergencies that may arise in the residencesDepending on the nature of the emergency, coordinate with the physical and mental health services available for studentsWhere required, accompany students for hospital admission and stay connected with all necessary stakeholders in such a situationWork with the Office of Student Life to develop and implement protocols for various types of emergencies, ensuring the safety and security of all students6. Liaise with Parents & Guardians:Serve as the main point of contact for parents/guardians regarding matters in the residenceCommunicate effectively with them about any issues or concerns related to their child's well-being7.  Community Building :Organise and oversee community-building activities with the students to develop a sense of belonging and engagementPromote a positive and inclusive campus culture through various initiatives and programmesLook for and work with trainers and facilitators to develop the skills and sensitivities of the whole Residence Life teamBe aware of and engage with various university activitiesSkills and Qualifications PreferredThe candidate should be a graduateThey should have good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)Empathetic and a good listener, with the ability to maintain discipline where neededShould be comfortable using MS Office toolsStrong organisational and time management skillsStrong collaborative skills
