Inviting applications for the post of Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor at School of Commerce (Quantitative Techniques ), Hyderabad Campus:
SVKM's NMIMS (Deemed to be UNIVERSITY) is internationally recognized and NAAC accredited. The School of Commerce here has a futuristic vision for commerce education in the increasingly digitized world. The school offers a holistic, transdisciplinary Undergraduate courses relating to commerce, business and fintech.
We invite applications from high caliber educators/professionals having relevant qualifications & proven experience in the area of Quantitative Techniques for Professor/ Associate/ Assistant Faculty Positions.
Key responsibility areas:
A faculty member is expected to undertake responsibilities in:
Curricular development
Teaching and managing courses
Assessing learning units and mentoring/evaluating students and/or student projects
Facilitate industry engagements through collaborative projects, jury assessments, seminars, events, and guest lectures.
Conduct research and secure grants in areas of personal domain as well as those in the school’s purview.
Experience required:
The candidate can have either educator or professional experience. The expertise is expected in most areas listed below, and an intent to update knowledge on the go. He/she should demonstrate skills in:
Business Statistics & Mathematics
Quantitative Techniques in Finance
Statistical Analysis and Data Visuali s ation
Statistical Inference Techniques
Operations research
Descriptive Statistics
Predictive Analytics-Correlation & Regression Analysis
Probability Theory
Inferential statistics
Research Methodology
Research Design
Statistics for Data Analytics
Financial Mathematics
Algebra (applications in commerce and economics)
Calculus (applications in commerce and economics)
Software Skills:
Expertise in Advanced Excel for statistical computations and data analysis.
Knowledge of software such as R, SPSS, SAS.
Qualifying Criteria – ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR:
The candidate should be a Ph.D. with First Class (or an equivalent grade on a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in Master’s Degree in Business Management / Administration / in a relevant discipline.
AND
Minimum 7 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals
AND
Minimum Research Score of 75
Minimum of 8 years of full-time experience in teaching/research/industry* out of which at least 3 years shall be Post Ph.D. experience.
OR
In the event, that the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential:
A Ph.D. Degree with First Class (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in Master’s Degree in Business Management / Administration / in a relevant discipline
OR
A Ph.D. Degree with First Class (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in two-year full-time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU / recognized by the AICTE / UGC.
OR
iii. First Class graduate and professionally qualified Chartered Accountant / Cost and Works Accountant / Company Secretary of the concerned statutory body.
AND
iv. The candidate should have professional work experience which is significant and can be recognized at the national / International level as equivalent to Ph.D. and eight years of managerial experience in the industry should be at the Senior Managerial level in a large Organization/MNC/Conglomerate.
c) Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work in the peer-reviewed or UGC listed Journals. Published work may include books, Research Periodical, Ph.D. guidance, Consultancy projects, and patent filed.
Qualifying Criteria – ASSISTANT PROFESSOR:
Ph.D. is mandatory with a minimum of 55% in Master’s Degree in Business Management / Administration / in a relevant discipline.
AND
Minimum 2 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals
OR
First Class graduate and professionally qualified Chartered Accountant / Cost and Works Accountant / Company Secretary of the concerned bodies.
c) Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable :
i) Ph.D. preferred with 2 years of experience.
ii) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency.
Published work may include books, Research Periodical, Ph.D. guidance, Consultancy projects, and a patent filed.
Pay Scales: As per UGC guidelines; but will not be a constraint for the right candidate.
