Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Unity Generalist. The Unity Generalist will be responsible for porting Unreal Engine assets and 3D source material to Unity, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including artists and programmers, to design and implement high-quality and efficient features. As a Senior, you will be expected to guide and instruct the team regarding gold-standard practices in Unity development. A broad skillset is required for the role. The Unity Generalist will also be responsible for troubleshooting, debugging, and fixing defects.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in game development with Unity
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated expertise in Unity (C#)
  • Rendering experience is essential - you must have a good eye for visuals and be able to effectively configure shaders and scene lighting for production
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated skillset working with URP and HDRP
  • Strong knowledge of 3D content creation pipelines
  • Experience working with Rigged Characters and Animations
  • Experience creating PBR and masked shaders
  • Some 3D experience is required to fix incorrect orientations and other small issues
  • Proficiency in game design and development principles, including game mechanics, systems, and optimization
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including artists and programmers
  • Experience with debugging, profiling, and optimizing code
  • Experience with game asset pipelines and version control systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Shipped at least one game on a platform like mobile, PC, or console.
