- Detailed Design & Engineering:
- Develop detailed civil engineering designs, including site development, grading, drainage, foundations, and structural elements for oil and gas facilities.
- Perform design calculations, prepare engineering drawings, and review designs to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, piping) to ensure design integration.
- FEED (Front-End Engineering Design):
- Lead and participate in the FEED phase of projects, providing civil engineering input to develop cost-effective and technically sound design solutions.
- Prepare and review FEED deliverables, including design basis, conceptual layouts, material specifications, and cost estimates.
- Identify potential design risks and propose mitigation strategies during the FEED process.
- Project Management:
- Assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of civil engineering activities within the project timeline.
- Ensure design deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Interface with clients, contractors, and third-party vendors to ensure clear communication and alignment on project requirements.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Ensure all civil design work adheres to relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, ASTM, ACI).
- Conduct design reviews, participate in HAZOPs, and ensure the implementation of best practices in civil engineering design.
- Site Support:
- Provide technical support during construction, including responding to RFIs, reviewing construction drawings, and addressing field changes.
- Conduct site visits as needed to ensure design compliance and resolve any engineering issues that arise during construction.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain detailed design documentation, including design reports, calculations, and as-built drawings.
- Provide regular project status updates to the engineering manager and other stakeholders.
