Role Overview:

The Senior Manager, International Affairs, will be at the forefront of our university’s international strategy, driving partnerships with global institutions to enhance academic collaborations and create accessible pathways for students. This is a strategic role for someone with hands-on experience studying or working abroad in a developed country, and who brings a deep understanding of international education standards, cross-cultural collaboration, and strategic relationship building.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and Strengthen Partnerships: Proactively establish and nurture partnerships with prominent universities worldwide, focusing on joint pathway programs, exchange opportunities, and international collaborations.
  • Design Pathway Programs: Collaborate with faculty and curriculum teams to create academically rigorous and compliant pathway programs that align with international academic standards and provide students with seamless transfer options.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies for international growth, aligning with the university’s long-term vision and goals for global engagement.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct market research to identify trends, evaluate potential international partners, and provide strategic insights that shape international initiatives.
  • Liaison and Representation: Serve as the key point of contact for international partners, ensuring transparent communication, mutual understanding, and successful program delivery.
  • Cross-Cultural Awareness: Promote cultural sensitivity and respect across all collaborations, ensuring all partnerships meet compliance and ethical standards in international education.
  • Promote Student Opportunities: Advocate for global learning opportunities for students, working with admissions, marketing, and faculty to showcase available programs and encourage student participation in international pathways.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Relations, Education, Business, or a related field; degrees from an international institution are highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in international relations, education partnerships, or a similar role, with demonstrable experience studying or working in a developed country.
  • Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage complex, multicultural partnerships.
  • Experience with pathway programs, transfer agreements, or international academic standards.
  • Ability to lead projects independently, handle ambiguity, and work effectively across teams and cultures.
  • A genuine passion for international education and creating access to global learning.
