We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP BW, HANA, and ABAP Developer to join our team. The Senior Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SAP BW and HANA solutions to meet business needs. The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience in SAP BW, HANA, and ABAP, and will be able to work independently or as part of a team.The position requires analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to fully own parts of the solution and serve as 3rd level support. Furthermore, the position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with business and technical teams.We operate as a matrixed Agile Scrum team, however, this position will be responsible for management of a small team of developers – assisting with on-boarding, adherence to standards, HR issues, improving processes, etc. The resource MUST be technical, however, think of it as 80% technical work and 20% management time. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop SAP BW and HANA solutions to meet business requirementsPerform data modeling, data extraction, and data transformation using SAP BW and HANADevelop complex HANA Calculation ViewsCreate and maintain BW objects, including DataSources, Transformations, DSOs, and ADSOsCreate or validate release cutover plans to ensure data consistency and minimize disruptionsStrong knowledge of ABAP programming and debugging for generic extractors and transformationsDesign and implement standard and generic BW ExtractorsServe as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for some parts of the BW solution (e.g. - Inventory, COPA, SD)Provide 3rd level support for BW related issuesAcquire sufficient knowledge to perform basic support for key areas such as Business Objects and Power BIOversee a team of 3-4 developers to ensure they are trained, productive, and happy in their rolesProvide initial interviews with potential team membersEscalate risks to the BI Manager Ideal ExperienceExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholder6+ years of experience with SAP BW and HANA, including strong capabilities in ABAPExperience with SAP BW 7.x and SAP HANA 2.0 or higherExperience in SAP modules such as COPA, SD, Inventory, or Purchasing is a plusExperience with Business Objects Webi reports, Power BI, or SQL is a plusB.S. degree in Computer Science, engineering, MIS or equivalentIf you're ready to take on a pivotal role in a fast-growing business, apply today to make your mark at Westcon-Comstor
