This is a unique opportunity for a motivated, customer-service-oriented person to become a Bus Driver and a vital part of the growing Des’s Minibus team.

This is a Casual position offering between 15 - 35 hours per week.

Des's delivers a level of service that exceeds our customers' expectations and ensures passengers receive safe, enjoyable trips at all times.

Des's Group is a family-owned business with over 60 years of experience in personal transport. We are versatile, offering individual service offerings throughout multiple SA locations. We offer simple A to B transfer solutions for individual-sized groups and various tour options, from corporate to backpackers.

Des's Group understands the importance of people and quality within its business and provides a unique opportunity for the right person to become an integral part of its friendly and supportive team. The right person will take advantage of the in-house training and gain skills and experience. We aim to make starting work easy and enjoyable.

Reporting directly to the Manager, this position is responsible for the following:

  • Provide and maintain a safe workplace in accordance with OHS policies and procedures
  • Provide a professional level of service in line with DIT rules and regulations
  • Ensure our passengers always receive a safe, enjoyable trip.
  • Deliver a level of service that exceeds our customers’ expectations
  • Ensure smart working practices are followed

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:  

  • Hold a minimum Light Rigid (LR) driver’s license (essential)
  • Have or be willing to obtain Small Passenger (SP) and/or Large Passenger (LP) Vehicle Accreditation
  • A proven safe driving record and a good understanding of Australian Road Rules
  • Demonstrates well-developed personal communication skills
  • High level of customer service skills
  • Good record keeping
  • Ability to listen and communicate well
  • Sound working knowledge of the local, streets, areas and activities
