Role Overview:
You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data integration and transformation processes as an ETL Data Engineer. This includes working with Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL, Python, and other technologies to ensure seamless ETL workflows and high-performance data analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and improve the efficiency of ETL pipelines using SQL, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Python to integrate data from various sources into data warehouses and data lakes.
- Analyze large datasets and develop metrics and KPIs for business intelligence solutions by writing complex SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and create robust data models and schemas, implementing best practices for data storage and retrieval.
- Use Python and ADF to automate ETL workflows and improve the efficiency and scalability of data processing tasks.
- Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data across the pipeline.
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that meet business needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in ETL processes, data integration, and analytics.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, transformation, and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and its components.
- Proficiency in Python for developing custom scripts and automating tasks.
- Experience with Data Warehousing concepts and architecture.
- Familiarity with Cloud Platforms, particularly Azure.
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, data lakes, and data integration best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, or other cloud-based analytics tools.
- Knowledge of Big Data technologies.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and version control tools (Git).
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
