We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality initiatives at Spruce Up Industries Pvt Ltd, a leading road sweeper manufacturing company. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance processes to ensure that all products meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability. You will work closely with production, engineering, procurement, and other departments to drive continuous improvement and uphold our reputation for quality.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop & Implement Quality Systems:
• Create, document, and enforce quality assurance policies, procedures, and guidelines aligned with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and customer expectations.
• Oversee the establishment and maintenance of a robust Quality Management System (QMS).
• Quality Control & Inspection:
• Supervise quality inspections at various stages, including incoming materials, in-process manufacturing, and finished product testing.
• Ensure that road sweepers meet internal specifications, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
• Process Monitoring & Improvement:
• Analyze production data and quality metrics to identify trends, deviations, and areas for improvement.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to reduce defects and improve process reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) across the manufacturing process.
• Collaboration & Communication:
• Work closely with production, engineering, procurement, and R&D teams to resolve quality issues and ensure seamless production processes.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure raw materials and components meet quality standards.
• Communicate quality performance, challenges, and improvement plans to senior management through regular reports and presentations.
• Compliance & Auditing:
• Ensure adherence to relevant national and international quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Plan and conduct internal audits and prepare for external audits and certifications.
• Monitor and maintain records related to quality testing, inspection, and audit outcomes.
• Team Leadership & Training:
• Lead, mentor, and train quality assurance staff and production teams on quality procedures, best practices, and safety standards.
• Foster a quality-centric culture throughout the organization.
• Customer Focus:
• Investigate customer complaints and product failures, conduct detailed analyses, and implement strategies to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Manufacturing) is an advantage.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in heavy machinery, automotive, or similar industries.
• Proven experience in managing quality assurance programs, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Proficient in using quality management software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools (e.g., advanced Excel).
• Familiarity with production processes and challenges in the heavy equipment or road sweeper manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
