Datastage Developer

Translating requirements into high level design for transformation

Development of ETL pipelines based on the design

Develop stored procedures if required to support the ETL pipeline

Develop highly optimized queries to ingest data into relational database

Develop external code using 4GL programming language including Linux shell scripts

Support migration from on-premise to cloud native ETL solution

Work within an Agile sprint team

Technology skills (Mandatory)

ETL Tools IBM DataStage an asset 5+ Must be fluent with ETL tools.

Good knowledge of relational database 5+ Must develop optimized queries. Having knowledge of Teradata will be an asset

Google cloud is an asset ( Azure / AWS)

Experience in Kafka

Knowledge of 4gl programing languages 1yr+ Capable of writing Linux Shell scripting as well as Python code ( script) Required

qualifications to be successful in this role

 Computer Science or Engineering Degree/Diploma or Equivalent Experience

 5+ years’ experience as a ETL Developer using ETL tools

 5+ years’ experience working with relational database

 3+ years’ experience working with high volume data ingestion

 3+ years’ experience working with Cloud native databases and ETL solutions

 Exposure to fourth generation programing language such as python

 Capable of working as an individual contributor and as part of an agile team member

 Motivated individuals to drive ETL best practices

 Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
