Mumbai, Maharashtra, India Cosy Farms Full time

Role : Hydroponic Agronomist – Urban Farming

Location : Mumbai, Goregoan ( E )

Salary Range : ₹15,000 - 20,000/month

About Us

Cosy builds living farms inside societies, cafes, and stores bringing hyperlocal greens to where people live and eat.

To make this work at scale, we need someone who can own the science behind every harvest. As our Agronomist, you'll lead how and what we grow building systems that deliver fresh produce across an entire city. This is a technical, operational, and creative role. Your work will shape how cities experience food.

What You'll Own

  • Plan and manage crop cycles across Cosy units—select varieties, set schedules, ensure consistent harvests
  • Maintain plant health - monitor EC/pH, nutrients, pests, and fix issues fast
  • Run crop experiments - test new crops, nutrients, and methods; improve our playbook
  • Build resilient supplies - manage seeds, nutrients, substrates; build reliable vendor links
  • Write clear SOPs - make systems easy to operate, even for non-experts

What We're Looking For

Must-haves

  • Background in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, or Controlled Environment Agriculture
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on hydroponic growing (not just projects or theory)
  • Ability to troubleshoot growing system issues independently
  • High attention to detail and ownership mindset
  • Willingness to work both in the field and on systems

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing multiple grow units or remote setups
  • Familiarity with agri-tech tools (e.g. sensors, EC monitors, nutrient dosing systems)
  • Experience working with chefs, kitchens, or retail teams

Who You Are

You care about plants, but more than that, you care about getting things right. You spot problems before they grow, work through messiness, and take pride in consistency. You think in systems, but aren't afraid to scrub algae. You want your work to matter.

Why Join Cosy

You'll be part of the founding team shaping how fresh food is grown in cities. Your work won't sit in a lab or field it'll live in neighbourhoods, on plates, and in daily routines.

You won't just be part of a farm, you'll help define a food system.
