Job Overview:

CTA Apparels is seeking a Finishing Manager to oversee and optimize our finishing processes. This role is central to ensuring that the final product meets our rigorous quality standards while enhancing operational efficiency through digitization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in garment finishing, coupled with a passion for leveraging technology to streamline processes and data management.


Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Operational Oversight

  • Supervise and manage all finishing operations, including ironing, trimming, quality inspection, and packaging.
  • Ensure production schedules are met without compromising on quality or efficiency.
  • Maintain seamless coordination between finishing and other departments (sewing, quality assurance, and dispatch).

2. Digitization of Processes

  • Lead the initiative to digitize finishing processes using the VisualGEMS ERP system.
  • Capture, monitor, and analyze real-time data related to the finishing line.
  • Integrate back-and-forth data flows between finishing and other production phases into the ERP for accurate traceability and reporting.

3. Quality Assurance

  • Enforce quality standards and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for the finishing stage.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure consistency in garment quality and compliance with client requirements.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues swiftly while implementing corrective actions.

4. Team Leadership and Training

  • Train and mentor finishing team members on operational best practices and digital tools.
  • Develop a skilled workforce capable of handling advanced technology and machinery efficiently.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement.

5. Process Optimization

  • Streamline workflows to reduce wastage and improve productivity.
  • Innovate and implement new techniques and technologies for better finishing results.
  • Minimize downtime and bottlenecks by identifying areas for improvement.

6. Data Management and Reporting

  • Ensure that all relevant operational data is recorded in the ERP system.
  • Use data analytics to generate actionable insights for process improvements.
  • Prepare reports on finishing performance, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.

7. Collaboration and Coordination

  • Work closely with production, quality control, and dispatch teams to ensure a smooth transition of garments through the finishing stage.
  • Liaise with clients, if necessary, to align finishing processes with specific brand requirements.
  • Collaborate with the IT team for ERP-related troubleshooting and enhancements.

8. Compliance and Sustainability

  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards in the finishing processes.
  • Promote sustainability by adopting eco-friendly finishing techniques and reducing resource wastage.

9. Innovation and Industry Best Practices

  • Stay updated on the latest finishing technologies and industry trends.
  • Drive innovation in finishing techniques to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Implement finishing processes that align with CTA’s sustainability goals and client expectations.
