Role Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager to oversee and drive sales operations in Midnapore Sadar. The ideal candidate will manage regional sales strategies, enhance customer engagement, and lead a team towards achieving business growth targets.
Key Responsibilities (KRA):
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory
- Develop and implement area-specific sales plans aligned with company objectives
- Identify, develop, and manage relationships with key dealers, distributors, and channel partners
- Conduct market visits to gather competitive intelligence, customer feedback, and assess demand
- Promote and drive adoption of Indofil's product portfolio among farmers and retail channels
- Plan and execute farmer meetings, field demos, and promotional campaigns
- Monitor secondary and tertiary sales and ensure timely order processing and supply chain coordination
- Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to regional management
- Train, mentor, and supervise field staff and sales representatives to improve productivity
- Ensure adherence to compliance, documentation, and reporting protocols
Required Skillsets:
- Proven track record in field sales and territory management (3-5 years), preferably in the agrochemical or agri-input sector
- Strong knowledge of agri-input market dynamics, customer behavior, and rural distribution networks
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and trends
- Proficient in CRM tools, MS Office, and sales reporting applications
- Self-driven, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities independently
