Role title: In Life Commercial Manager Margin Analyst

Role purpose:

As a Margin Analyst working in Vodafone Carrier Services' s In Life Commercial Management team you will be working with the In Life Commercial Managers, billing, cease and provide teams. Key accountabilities and decision ownership

  • Manage VCS cost of sale ensuring that status and margin is known for each circuit
  • Work on ad hoc projects driving improved margin
  • Help deliver team's margin target
  • The contributes towards the margin assurance of these contracts ensuring that we maximize revenues and control the cost base. Manage the complex contracts for larger VCS customers, ensuring all commercial elements are delivered through the contract life.
  • Deliver Own the commercial management and associated target for Intercompany accounts. managed by VCS
  • Actively seek to improve processes that results in long term margin optimization.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Experience from working in fixed line billing, cease operation, provide, commercial change or inventory team
  • Proven track record of an appetite to resolve issues
  • Proven ability to review complex revenue and cost issues understand and manage complex contracts and commercial scenarios.
  • Analytical mind set and strong ability to work with complex issues Ability to create and run projects independently and use own initiative.
  • Able to build strong relationships in a matrix organization A healthy but skeptical mind-set to question and challenge current commercial performance at an account and business unit level.
  • Excellent communication skills and understanding of financial and operational information.
  • Proven experience of influencing senior stakeholders to achieve results.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • Must have technical / professional qualifications: MBA Finance/ or any discipline in Commerce

Preferred Accountancy /Cost background,

  • Advanced Excel and analytical knowledgeAdvanced Excel and analytical knowledge Understanding of customer P&L
  • Experience of working in a matrix organization with a strong ability to build relationships with customers both internally and externally
