In this role, you’ll be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining our Java-based applications that power our popular games. But there’s more – this role offers the chance to expand your expertise into new areas, such as GoLang and microservices, making it ideal for a developer eager to grow and innovate.What You’ll Do:- Develop & Innovate: Build and maintain high-quality Java applications while exploring opportunities to work with GoLang and microservices architecture. - Collaborate & Create: Partner with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, framework engineers, and other departments, to design and implement new features that enhance our gaming platforms. - Write Quality Code: Ensure your code is well-designed, efficient, testable, and adheres to best practices. - Optimize Performance: Identify and resolve bottlenecks, and ensure our applications are scalable and performant. - Engage in Agile Processes: Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation within the team. - Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, gaining exposure to different technologies and approaches, ensuring that our projects benefit from diverse expertise and insights. - Develop and enhance online Casino Games: improving and innovating casino games on our custom game development framework, primarily server-side code written in java. - Contribute to design and Implementation of key server-side components: includes database design, gameplay logic structure, server-client communication API and security measures. - Testing and simulation: you will assist in testing the robustness of the server-side game code, usability and reliability.Required Experience/Knowledge- Good knowledge and experience of Object-Oriented - Programming and Multi-Threading Java, MySQL - Experience working with Java Web Application Servers - Experience working with external web APIs - Familiarity with internet HTTP requests - Understanding of RESTful API Methodology - Experience with version control (GIT) - Experience working with Linux serversBeneficial Experience (A Plus):- Front-End Familiarity: While not required, familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React would be a good plus. You'll also gain experience in these areas through collaboration with our front-end teams. - Cloud & DevOps: While not required, knowledge of AWS, microservices architecture, containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines would be beneficial.
