This role also involves supporting DHS services as aCloud SRE Consultant , ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions while driving operational excellence.Key Responsibilities: Cloud Strategy Development:Define and oversee cloud adoption plans and overall strategy. Architecture Design:Build secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud-based systems. Cloud Platform Management:Manage infrastructure across public, private, and hybrid environments. Cloud Migration:Lead migration of applications and data to the cloud. Deployment & Operations:Install, configure, and maintain DHS services; ensure smooth Engineering-to-Operations transition. Automation & Optimization:Identify automation opportunities to reduce deployment time and MTTR. Incident Management:Minimize impact of cyber incidents and ensure service reliability. Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with DigiOps, GEHC Project Managers, and Lead Service Integrators for successful go-live. Cost Optimization:Monitor and optimize cloud spend. Continuous Improvement:Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and trends.Key Skills & Expertise: Cloud Platforms:AWS, Azure, GCP expertise. Architecture Principles:Design robust, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems. Certifications:AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (preferred). Security & Compliance:Strong understanding of cloud security best practices. Strategic Thinking:Translate business needs into technical solutions. Problem-Solving & Communication:Ability to resolve challenges and collaborate effectively
