Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, security principles, and excellent problem-solving skills.


Key Responsibilities:

Install and Configure Software and Hardware:

  • Set up workstations and servers.
  • Install necessary software applications and programs.
  • Ensure proper configuration of network components.


Manage Network Servers and Technology Tools:

  • Administer and maintain local and cloud servers.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability.
  • Manage network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.


Ensure Security Through Access Controls, Backups, and Firewalls:

  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems.
  • Perform regular backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches.


Perform System Upgrades and Updates:

  • Regularly update operating systems and applications.
  • Ensure all systems are up to date with the latest patches and updates.
  • Plan and execute system upgrades with minimal disruption.


Troubleshoot Issues and Outages:

  • Respond to and resolve technical issues and outages promptly.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.
  • Diagnose and fix hardware or software issues.


Monitor System Performance and Resources:

  • Track system performance metrics.
  • Optimize system performance and resource usage.
  • Plan for future capacity and scalability.


Manage User Accounts and Permissions:

  • Create and manage user accounts and access permissions.
  • Ensure proper user authentication and authorization.
  • Maintain user profiles and configurations.

Document Systems and Processes:

  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and protocols.
  • Create user manuals and training materials.
  • Document technical issues and resolutions.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of various operating systems, especially Linux.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, etc.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, source control, and cloud platforms.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


Certifications:

  • RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) certification is required.
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or similar.
