Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Credit Manager to join our growing team at Propelld. The Credit Manager will play a crucial role in evaluating and managing credit risks associated with our student lending portfolio. This individual will be responsible for assessing creditworthiness, developing credit policies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in credit analysis, risk management, and a passion for contributing to the success of a forward-thinking fintech company.



Responsibilities:

Credit Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough credit assessments to determine the creditworthiness of prospective borrowers.
  • Evaluate financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information to make informed credit decisions.


Decision Making:

  • Make credit decisions in accordance with established policies and guidelines.
  • Provide recommendations for exceptions or deviations from standard credit policies when necessary.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years as a Credit Manager or in a similar role within the financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of credit analysis, risk management, and lending principles.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to lending and credit.
  • Experience in handling loans of high ticket size.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
